I only just got an 850 Evo. Jelly, except that this probably would cost an arm and a leg in 2T capacity? I wonder how much difference it would make in compile times?
If you already run on SSD not that much. There will be some difference but nowhere near the leap you have seed when you moved from HDD. More likely you can get limited on how your solutions are structured (ie. whether compiler can chew the code in parallel). And maybe you can also get limited on CPU in case of cpu-intensive compilations (C++) but usually 850Evo should be able to fetch data give or take on par to keep your cpu busy (counting with general desktop cpus, might be a bit different with enthusiast or enterprise many-core cpus). Different compilers also vary in their performance... There are many aspects that influence speed of compilation so hard to tell in your case, I wouldn't hold my breath for anything outside 5-20% range compared to your Evo.

"According to Patriot, its Hellfire PCIe AIC SSD will offer performance that will be higher than that of Samsung’s 950 Pro..."I'll believe it if I see it, since all released Phison controllers have been low-end at best.

It is probably a slot-in PCIe card, not the smaller M.2.r3loaded - Wednesday, January 6, 2016 - link
Looks tasty, but I'd really rather prefer a 2.5 inch drive and a U.2 interface.hrrmph - Wednesday, January 6, 2016 - link
