Yup, the same (conversation) widget is available in gmail.
Far from revamping, this is actually a useless site. I can have my hangouts while also reading my email or following my G+ stream (yes, yes, I know). Why would I open up a page that only does hangouts?
Menus, layout, even the background makes it look like a Windows Universal App like Mail... Why won't they just release Windows Universal App versions of hangouts and youtube already?
