Never heard of roasting marshmallows around a fire? ;) You take a marshmallow, you jam it on the end of a stick you picked up in the woods, and you stick it over until a roaring bonfire until (or pit) until it's brown, black, or carcinogenic. Depending on your preference.
Whatever it is, I hope it'll let me have control over the apps permissions. It's way beyond me that here we are in the U.S., a country stands for human rights, yet our privacy has been violated over and over but no one's doing a damn thing about it. I mean wtf, take Need for Speed Most Wanted for instance, I must grant this racing game app full permissions to my phone calls, my contacts and my SD card (external included?) for me to be able to install it. It doesn't make any sense at all.
Amen to that. I'm sick of mega corps jacking my data and forcing downgrades on me. I paid $750 for my Note 4 to someone (via crappy contract). But what option do I have? Verizon is the only one with coverage for the traveling man.
Erm, well as new hardware, I'd like to give it a fair shot? Motorola is doing some cool things, but I can also wait a bit to see if the new Nexus 5 is better.
And that's a good thing. Just like iOS 9, OSX 10.11, etc, they're slowing down new feature development to really optimize everything. It was needed. I'm glad both Google and Apple did this.
The final preview is 2 months ahead of last year's schedule and a couple of weeks later the final version arrived So we might see new Nexus devices at IFA.
Bah, you're such an ageist. For some people, it's their breakfast, lunch, dinner, desert, and snack allnin one (well, technically two, usually, even if only ever one at a time...)
Huh, my first gen Moto G has been rocking Android L officially for months. It was on Telus/Koodo, there was a bit of a wait after Motorola released L before the carrier caught on, but not too bad, just a few weeks.
Ah excellent. I was hoping for another Android update that I'll never get unless I root my device and spend a few days learning how to install a custom ROM made by someone I've never heard of. Still waiting on Lollipop on the old (not really) T-Mobile Galaxy S4.
I'm sorry, but what's the point of upgrading to lollipop for Samsung devices? My wife's Note 4 just got updated to 5.0.1 from 4.4.4, and she didn't notice much difference. The touchwiz is all over the place. I think the only thing she've noticed is that the notification messages on the lock screen is now much more detailed. I know there are probably some other changes that we've didn't notice, but come on, it is no where as big of an visual update as my Nexus going from 4.4.4 to 5.0
Well, if you want less storage and less compatibility, moving to Lollipop is the obvious solution. At least that's what it does on a Galaxy Tab S. I'm staying with 4.4 for now, but if Samsung releases Marshmallow I'd be tempted to upgrade just for the permission controls.
Wish I could use cocoa with Marshmallow. Would make a killer combination, just as in real life. I'm so tired of the revolting verbose idiosyncrasies of overriding several dozen lines of Java code just to get the application to behave nicely when doing... well, anything.

I like marshmallows in my hot coco, but this name doesn't inspire images of anything solid or substantial (even as candy goes).Armisael - Monday, August 17, 2015 - link
Yeah, macaroon seemed like a better name to me.At least it isn't molasses.

I was also thinking macaroon. Marshmallow is not a dessert or a candy, it's an ingredient.pewterrock - Monday, August 17, 2015 - link

Many carriers updated the Moto X in a timely manner. Motorola took longer than expected to roll out Lollipop, particularly to the Moto X 2013.tipoo - Saturday, August 22, 2015 - link
