You can also navigate to this hyperlink with Purch advertising link at the bottom of the website. I'm tired of the ads pushing the Pipeline further down the page everyday, ads taking over my screen (especially on mobile), header ad being larger than the Anandtech header, and etc. I understand that ads pay for the site and I am not against ads. Anand did a great job managing the site in this aspect when he owned it - it lent more credibility to the site. Today there's a notebook review ad for Tom's hardware.
I've been reading since 2007. This is the only site I have a login to comment with. I don't to see this site go to crap. I'm not leaving today, but I can see that be a possibility down the road if this management style continues.
Anandtech has become the biggest, most obnoxious ad website I have ever seen. Ads should be small and not detract from the site content. Instead, this is an ad website that devotes more than 50% of their screen space with adds, less than 50% to content.
I realize ads are necessary to keep the site running since it's provided to us for free. But they have gone far too far recently since Anand gave up the site.
Wow. I turned off NoScript temporarily to see what all the fuss was about and holy crap, the ads have gotten bad. Nevermind the mind-boggling number of scripts from different providers NoScript is blocking that are ad-related and have nothing to do with the content of the site itself.
I'd be glad to keep NoScript off for Anandtech to allow the advertising through if it was reasonable, but this is way too much.
Ha ha - you're so right. I didn't even realize how awful the webpage is without an adblocker. It really is pathetic and I fully understand what you're saying - it's like..."Anandtech"is half or a third of the height of the ad above it, for d¡ck's sake. There are so many ads on this page it's unbelievable how good an adblocker can be. Thank God for Adblock -otherwise I wouldn't even bother visiting this page anymore. It's got absurd.
At least you guys/gals are in with a chance! No hope for us across the pond. Hexus whilst UK based still open up their competitions globally (sad face).
Who knows what it ended up at, but I think the counter said 65 thousand when I submitted my application on the last day. Much better odds then the lottery, anyhow. ;)
I must admit, I was amused that the Corsair build had a higher end Zotac vid card than the build from Zotac...who decided to go with a bling build instead of trying to max performance on the budget.

This is a neat project. I'm really interested to see what other companies put together.eanazag - Wednesday, August 12, 2015 - link
I like this too, but wish the contest was open for more than a day.I'm tired of the advertising taking over Anandtech.
Please let Purch advertising know. I just did with the contact Purch advertising below.

Open for more than a day? Entries were accepted for most of July, if I recall correctly.maecenas - Wednesday, August 12, 2015 - link
If you don't like the ads, you can "vote with your wallet" and enable an ad-blocker.kelstertx - Wednesday, August 12, 2015 - link
+1 on ad-blocker. I use Adblock Edge. Anandtech is lean and clean for me. Adblock Plus borks Adobe plugin, so use Adblock Edge instead.kelstertx - Wednesday, August 12, 2015 - link
In fact, Anandtech is the site I use to illustrate how good ad blockers can be. It's my worst-case-scenario site!Mikemk - Wednesday, August 12, 2015 - link
