I still don't know if it was just Apple marketing bullshit calling it USB 3.1 Gen 1 instead of USB 3.0, or if there is some merit to referring to it to the latter over the former.
My opinion is that 5Gbps should be USB 3.0 and 10Gbps should be USB 3.1.
So the "open source" great non competitive collusive committee is corrupt, and all the little sell sell sell it obedient (most dominant market corpo pig company worldwide) minions go right along and hey do as they say because crime pays. Whatever.
Any seeing as the type C connect isn't even present it's just as correct to market the p8z68-v pro I've had for years as being "USB 3.1 Type-A". MSI generally makes reasonable hardware, but this whole thing is just shady marketing.
Scratch that, apparently I can't read. The specs on their web site actually specify that they're using real USB 3.1 gen 2 @ 10 GB/s, but with the old Type A connectors.
Sorry there MSI guys, should have known that a reputable company like MSI wouldn't stoop to Apple's level.
The ready to strike snake should be a proper warning. Although I'm inclined to think the dweebs will look and go "Coooollll!! AMD has done it again!" then smile at each other and grab the box exclaiming "this is going to kick ...! "
If one argues against THAT, I'd rather not hear the endless years long whines that nVidia misamed it's GPU's and caused end user consumer confusion...BECAUSE THE FANBOYS CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS.
