well. they're not even doing enough. Because if you look at a consumer based website ( like http://www.topreport.org/phones/ for example...) HTC phones are nowhere close to the top in terms of consumer satisfaction.
It sounds like you're unfamiliar with Google's "Material" UI Style. If that bothers you I suggest you brace yourself because everything is about to get a whole lot flatter.
However I value Anandtech usually for diving deeper into the technical background of, there seems to be a lack of technical detail in this article, focusing solely on the more uhmmm... business side of things, so to say.
I was curious for example in which video format the Zoe movies are posted, and what the resolution is. I had to dig a bit on the internet, but I found this article with more technical background on this http://tweakers.net/nieuws/97846/htc-brengt-app-vo...
Basically it is: - always posted to Zoe.com and not posted to for example Facebook directly (only posting a link) - a webm video - 1280x720 pixels, 25 frames per second - audio is 128kbps, 2 channel stereo
And oh yes, it can only be installed on some devices, only Samsung, LG, Google and HTC's own devices.
That's about it. Would love to know even more, like if the apk can be sideloaded on other devices that are not supported (yet), like from Sony or Huawei. Could you elaborate on this and more of the technical details?
It isn't compatible with my Moto X nor Z1 Compact (both running 4.4). I think the gallery and related features was the best thing about Sense 5 on my first-gen One, so this is disappointing, to say the least.

How about the ability to crop a video or re-encode it to a smaller size. Do they offer that ability yet?
