Looks like a really nice board, although I would say AMD enthusiasts would probably be better off with an FX-8350 if they're getting dedicated videocards, my main Desktop runs a 8350, but I have a small ITX PC using an A10-7850k, no reason an APU can't be used for something like this, but I do like having the extra cores you get with the FX CPU.
I'd have to agree - I don't think this board makes much sense given what is on offer for the FM2+ socket currently. Why would you invest in a relatively expensive board like this when you are limited to a maximum of 2 steamroller modules? Makes me wonder if AMD will ever release an APU with 4 modules and scaled back iGPU...
It compares favorably with MSI's approach in their gaming series based upon looks/feature set. I am guessing Asus see's a opportunity here since A87600 is bound to be a popular processor.
As has been previously stated, and as such is known by many, once you add a dGPU, an APU becomes an inferior product. So, why does this board have multiple x16 slots? I would rather have a mATX, or better yet, an ITX board for SFF, or NUC-like form factors. I would only add an mSATA port, but I'd remove the expansion slots to fit this board into a smaller form factor.
Man, what a utterly TOUGH decision this is. Or do Asus and AMD thinks we are born yesterday? But, but that paying for that *ZgamingZ* marketing and colors and multi-GPU on an clearly inferior CPU will certainly improve my h@rdc0rez g@m!ng sk!llz.
Yup, pretty much. Its really a pointless board, given how fm2+ is limited in term of performance (its really a budget platform). My guess is, that thing is pretty much aimed at novice buyers, that don't know better ("zomg zomg its a gaming board so it must be good!!!1!)
I guess its only a matter of time before we see this kinds of boards for AM1 platform :)
MicroCenter will sell this for 159.99 for the board + 139.99 7850K CPU - 40.00 bundle savings = 259.98, not a bad deal, espically for casual gamer/multi purpose PC.

I have seen rumors of a much more powerful APU in the works - this maybe designed for that processor and also for anyone wanting high end audio without a dedicated card, and a few slots for expansion.

will definitaley get this board i have 6800k in an 88xm which work great as i can overclock apu to well over 5 ghz on air and much higher with water cooling .but am waiting for more powerful apus as the kaveri 7850 for me cpu part is not fast enough yet but feel much better is on the way .my present board is great but i worry about cooling on the northbridge it can get very very hot if push overclock too far ,so i think with this new board the heatsinks and cooling look much better ie higher overclocks .i believe i could get to 7.ghz and watercooling .oh and a r9 graphics card
I am very sad ! I'm a huge fan of AMD. I bought 3 video card r9 380x to put on my Crossblade Ranger and I can not turn 3 way crossfirex. Only 2way. 0x6 or 0x12. No way, I've tried for many hours, even uninstalled drivers, formatted the computer, I tested with Windows 10, Windows 7 ... (64bit both) Unsuccessful ... I do not know what to do ... I'm tired of trying and wasting time trying ...

Even with budget boards considered, they is simply NO combination of AMD APUs that makes sense at any given price point.Congratulations Asus, here's your medal for somehow making a board which is even more pointless than the already pointless AMD desktop CPU lineup.
