Considering it has been 3 months since the last podcast, that agenda is rather short. Something are missing that'd be interest to talk about in a greater or in a more future looking context:

There is enough there to do another podcast just with what is going on in graphics.
Sure he was arrogant, but most intelligent people are. To me, Brian and Anand are the ultimate tech "talking heads" because not only do they articulate well but they actually are fully informed on what they talk about. Most other tech types I have read and listened to only seem to excel at one or the other.
There's a huge difference between Anand and Brian. Anand is really smart, but HUMBLE. Also, Anand gets reviews out ON TIME. Look at the HTC one (M8) and Galaxy S5. Both reviews were done before the devices shipped (or there abouts). Brian does an extra thorough review 2 months after the device is out (Nexus 5). IMO that makes the review much less valuable. Interested buyers already bought the N5 long before his review...
That's exactly what I'm saying. I'd much rather have a review that covers 90% that's out on day one, rather than a review that covers more info months after the device is out. I read reviews to help decide to buy a device. It's not useful if there is no ETA for a review (because Brian arrogantly says he doesn't give ETAs), and you need to know whether to buy a device.
Anyway, let's just say I'm glad that Anand is doing the important flagship device reviews again :) :) :)

Personally i would prefer both, and i think there have been cases of that on the site before. Where there has been a "quick" review by Anand, and then a more detailed one by Brian
Well, as for saying that he doesnt give ETA's, cant say i dont understand him on that front. Anand talked a bit (in todays stream) about some of the time frames they are working with in regards to review units and NDA lifts.
If he is to have any kind of "life" outside of doing review work, then yes, i understand his stance on ETA's :)
I guess while we are discussing reviews, wish you guys would use a different background when taking pics. Just use a solid white background. Makes it easier to to view darker colored products that the black grey textured background you are currently using.
I disagree about the review needing to be out before the product ships. I'm never an early adopter for the simple reason that I want my products to be mature. More than that though I want the market to be competitive, which means I wait until all the players have submitted their attempt at winning my business. Because I buy things months after they're released, or more, I found his in depth, experience based reviews very helpful.
This thread is the first time I've heard of him being gone though. Who's gonna do laptops?

It's always weird when personnel changes happen silently, but I'm sure you guys have your reasons. I didn't find Brian arrogant exactly, but I did find him oddly dismissive of things via the smug 'sorry guys, not happening' line. I won't miss that part of the show at least.
IWant our review now damnit! funny how so many people come to this site for the detailed information it provides on a product. That so many complain when a review on a new device isn't posted as soon as a NDA lifts. Because battery testing, cellular testing, picture testing, and all the other stuff like software new SoC platform and so on can all be done to level of detail you expect in 5 days.
All with hardly and documentation. And what they do know they often can't say. No device manager no nothing. But nope. We syill want

Please post the mp3 and update your RSS feed. I listen to these in the car (with great enjoyment). Can't/won't/don't sit in front of a screen for these video-casts. Your podcast is the best. Missed Klug. Wish you could do them more frequently but the writing on the site is still top-notch, and still the most important thing.

- Rip the video from YouTube (~1GB). - Extract the audio track (192kbps, 44.1kHz stereo, AAC) - Save it out and load it up on your preferred phone-based media player! - Profit.
Now whether or not you should have to is a different question. However, if you really want the audio, it is low hanging fruit. You do lose a bit of Anand's animal magnetism without the video though.

Talking about in the race mobil battle on; SoC,OS,Arm vs Intel,portable or console game( GPU), Microsoft vs android ( Linux), I want you expertise about the new Chinese Arm SoC,mostly allwinner the A80 with 41000 bm and power vr GPU ,rk3288,with A17 and Mali T7xx series and Mtk with their differents new SoC,because you mentioned, talking about the performance that Intel its reaching in the mobile SoC,compare with Mtk 8 core SoC. About Amazon fire TV,I believe the same,they went to conservative in the hardware SoC,I do like the idea ,that you mention about a new feature console like Xbox or PS,with custom android,strong GPU and big company support, in this case Amazon
1) Podcasts require regularity. You went from once a week to once a month to once now everth quarter? Please find a schedule that works for you and try and stick to it, I'd love to have one of your podcasts at least once every fortnight.
2) Having a single-person podcast is not much fun, even when that person is Anand. If Brian is not available anymore, please ask some of your new smartphone editors to join you. A podcast requires some level of discussion.
3) Please always publish an audio-only version of the show to your RSS feed. Sure I can scrape it myself but most podcast listeners use some software to manage their podcast and it's a massive inconvenience to not have your podcast readily available like that (and I'm sure it impacts your listener numbers).
Solo podcast just not the same. I also think it is incredibly disappointing that Brian Klug isn't around for these podcasts. The banter and energy between Anand and Brian was what made this podcast so engaging. I also think the loyal community who have been regular supporters deserve an explanation as to why Brian is a no show.
