I mean yes, there are use cases where you do need the ISP and multiple inputs but a vast majority of people don't touch the monitor controls after the initial setup so those things go pretty much unused anyways.

Yes, my main photography location has been overrun by wrapped presents at this point, so I had to choose somewhere else. I also just switched my camera from JPEG to RAW (NEX-6 with 16-50 lens) and by the time I noticed the lack of any lens correction with RAW, the originals were deleted. I've added Lightroom and Photoshop since then, as well as a prime lens, and so I'll retake these images when I get a chance to avoid them distracting.

It looks like a sprinkle from a cupcake or donut is over in the corner too. Maybe the monitor doesn't work unless there are a few snack leftovers on the ground nearby.
Additionally, the bottom of the window casing could use some paint, but I'm not actually complaining; my floors are dirtier.

mmmm, no thx, Qnix and X-Star are better. i'm happy with my Qnix although no OSD and two DVI ports, but why would i need more than that, and lack of OSD is not that painful, you can manage fine without OSD
Chris, you mention this monitor not having tilt, yet in picture 3, it shows a joint that seems like it should be able to tilt? I am hoping for some clarification on this, as it seems strange for a monitor to not have a tilt function.
That joint looks like it should tilt, but I just went and tested again and it does not tilt. The specs say tilt, which means perhaps mine is too tight as shipped, but I cannot get it to tilt when I try. I'll update the text to reflect this.

I have no problem with the product images. They show what I want to know about the product (the physical features).
Perfectly rendered professional product images lend no more credence to a monitor than crappy images. I'm here to read a review, not look at gorgeous photos of a cheap monitor.

Meticulous attention to detail produces a professional grade appearance, which enhances the inherent trust of credibility the reader has in the author. I enjoy reading monitor reviews and I get they you probably like photography and care about color accuracy and viewing angles. I don't. It would be great if you could add the ASUS VG248QE (with or without g-sync), the Eizo Foris FG2421 and the BenQ XL2420Z to your lag database. For gamers who play things like Quake Live, Streetfighter or Couterstrike, 20+ ms lag just doesn't cut it.
Demand. Lots of people want to know how the cheap Korean Catleap/Yamasaki/QNix etc perform. In this case, its particularly interesting to see a no-ISP, DisplayPort-only screen go through the test and give excellent results.
Are there any good looking monitor outside of maybe apple if you like white anyways? They make a slightly better and more use able version of this monitor the Nixeus Vue NX-VUE27 and it looks to be the same screen for it's only $50 more on newegg plus you get dvi and hdmi
Ther review does not have information about overclocking ability, whter this monitor can do 2560x1440p above 60hz or not. Most low cost 27" from korea can do more than 100hz @1440p and that information is relevant for the readers of this site.
