Any word on a similar update for Android?

    Popular?

It's been widely lauded as a better value (if not outright better option) than any any of the smartwatches from larger companies; and it's one of Kickstarter's biggest success stories... That doesn't qualify as popular?

I was pretty skeptic when it first showed up (seemed too ambitious for KS between software/hardware development) but I've been pretty impressed with how it's developed, gets more tempting every day.

How come you never reviewed it Brian? (AFAIK) Maybe it could be relevant to do so in a month or two once developers have begun taking advantage of BT LE and the accelerometer? Any word when that's coming to Android?

It was a popular KICKSTARTER - as in before people actually got their hands on the product. I've only seen ridicule for the Pepple AND the other recent smartwatches after release, that's why I'm surprised to see it called popular now.

Yeah pretty much my reaction. Never knew this product existed until today.

Um, what? Is this update out yet? The Pebble folks said the update was coming up next week... and it's certainly not showing up for me yet. Are you running the beta or a preview version?

"Pebble gave us a few days with a prerelease version of the firmware and iOS application to play around with..."

"really tell what affect enabling LE has had on Pebble's battery life"

To tell what effect Le has had...

Sorry for nitpicking Brian, just a pet peeve of mine

Bluetooth LE can be an emotive issue for battery life.

Pebble ANNOUNCED an update, they have not released one yet. The update that supports ANCS for iOS devices won't roll out until sometime next week. You might want to make your reader aware of that.

Also the SDK 2.0 has been released in beta so that developers have a chance to update their Pebble apps for the Firmware 2.0 release later on this year. End users won't have access to apps that make use of SDK 2.0 features until later on this year. The way that your phrased your article makes it seem as if SDK 2.0 features will roll out at the same time as ANCS support and this is not the case.
