No, it won't double the number of Temash laptops out there. The more prominent, and generally better, Temash laptop on the market right now is the Acer V5-122P: http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-V5-122P-0857-11-...

Fixed, thanks -- I looked for "A4-1250" initially and for some reason only found the HP.

I'd be fascinated by a review of this laptop. In particular, how it compares to the popular Chromebooks.

Wrong when talking about GCN graphics and optimizations for battery life.

Impossible. Linux is perfect in every way, some elitist MS hating trolls on the internet told me so. ChromeOS is second best, because Google uses, I MEAN- helps the open source community, out of the goodness of their corporate hearts.

    What?

There are a few more than 2. There's a samsung, HP Pavilion http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/pro... and toshiba http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/toshiba-tos...

    oops you included the HP

It looks like the Toshiba is a Kabini laptop, not Temash, but I've added a note about the Samsung and a few other details, like the fact that this appears to be the first A4-1200 laptop (the others are using the A4-1250 and A6-1450).

The Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite also utilizes Temash

Noted, thanks -- and they're using the A6-1450 and including a 128GB SSD, at a rather insane price point for Temash. Yeesh. For $750, there are far better laptops (Ultrabooks even) out there I think.

Why does this ultraportable remind me of my Lenovo X120e using E-350?

So, is this going to be faster or slower than E-450? Because that APU was slow and hot.
  • parkerm35 - Monday, September 9, 2013 - link

This will run around the same speed as the E-450, whilst using less than quarter the power.

Also, as for the heat, these chips will be found in fan-less tablets, so i think that will answer your question regarding the heat.

I will second the desire for Ubuntu version. Nearly 1/4 of the price tag is for OS/software. If you want to compete in the value market ditch MS.

I have ordered this for £300, $450 from Argos UK. http://www.bubblews.com/news/1645704-asus-x102ba-t... comes with voucher for Windows store too.
