AOSP is overrated. It's not bloated, has nice icons and is generally offers a smoother UI but (and it is a big, throbbing but) many of the standard apps are significantly worse than their OEM replacements - e.g. Camera, Calendar, SMS - and some of the third party extensions are actually useful e.g. battery percentage indicator and Samsung's Smart Stay (keep the screen on while looking at it).
Personally I prefer a stock-based ROM with a replacement launcher.
Agree, I mostly use Google version's of the apps with some exceptions such as calendar, Samsung's calendar is so much better and their gallery app is good too. I'm using Nova launcher so I can get a closer to stock launcher feeling while still getting the benefits of Samsung pull down notification toggle buttons(the best pull down notification system), smart stay, calendar and etc...

I was hoping to get 360 panorama shooting with this update as well. Stock 4.2.2 has it, GS4 has it (thanks to samsung's custom implementation). And there's no reason why the One shouldn't.
All welcome changes and new features. I do wish there were more Blinkfeed sources, or the ability to add our own. The current list isn't bad as far as news sources, but I would love to have more.
Why has it taken so long for OEMS to make battery % in the top notification bar? Apps have been doing it for years, and it was always the first app I downloaded from the play store. (The S4 also has this same feature.)
An even better question - why has it taken so long for stock Android to still not have one? Given how stupidly obvious the feature is, my best guess would be - patents.
Did you test bluetooth? One of the huge problems I've seen with Android 4.2.2 has been the changes that google made to the bluetooth stack, and that the implementations (even in Nexus devices, apparently) have been very sketchy. I use bluetooth for hours every day and can't have a flakey implementation.
Does this update fix the HTC accessibility services bug? Without a fix, I'm stuck choosing between Tasker and other apps that use the service, or a lock screen that works correctly. I would like to have both and cannot believe how long it's taking for HTC to fix this.

The Sense Calendar Widget on my HTC One with 4.1.2 is much harder to read than the Google Calendar app's (installable from the Play market) Widget.Sense 5 is also, imho, a big downgrade from Sense 4 (I had an HTC Evo 4G and an Evo 4G LTE); lots of things are missing, and many widgets are uglier.
