Thank god the iPhone is so nicely designed it, I'd never be caught dead with... oh, wait...

Very interesting, that 60% is pretty depressing even when you were careful to try to maximize the efficiency of the charge. You said that all battery cases have to endure this inefficiency "for the iPhone"; does that mean that battery cases for Android devices can somehow circumvent the PMIC over microUSB? Or are you simply referring to the possibility of actual extended batteries on devices with removable batteries?

On that note, any chance of a similar review for the One version? I definitely have been tempted by the Mophie case there but $100 is pretty steep when I could have more power for half the price in a non-case-shaped battery pack.

Anything else than this would not make sense.

I completely understand the appeal of the extended battery case. However with 2 phones (work/personal) and other gadgets with me I'll stick with an external battery pack in my bag to charge any of them in a pinch. And there Anker kicks the snot out of Mophie (you can get a dual port 10000mAh unit for the same price or less than a 4000mAh single port Mophie, or about half the price of a 6000mAh dual port Mophie, and they've got a better warranty as well).

that is a terrible charging time for the mophie pack. even on the bc1.2usb charger, which charged at 1500? mah? my galaxy note 2 charges completely in less than 2 hours easily on a 2a charged with a 3100 mah battery. the best solution for some people would be the mophie if they actually wouldn't mind a little grip on the puny iphone5 and who need just a little help at the end of the day. other people would benefit from an external battery charger, like the 9000mah i got from samsung.com for $50. charges at 1800mah even. and there are many more than can be had for better prices, depending on the size you need.

The device looks nice, but man is that annoying you have to "manage" it. I'd want to put something like that on, and then be able to charge both it and the phone from a single connector, never have to remove it, never have to turn it on separately, etc.

If Apple would just look in to this new fangled amazing replaceable battery technology...

Has anyone had any issues with bad signal when the mophie is in use or not? I saw a two bar drop and poor wifi when I used it.

Please, in constantly having to return to the store where purchased the Morphie Helium, the extension devise that allows using one's ear phones continues to malfunction. Has anyone else been having this issue. As such, I cannot recommend purchasing this devise. I am awaiting a strong different devise to arrive for the iPhone 5-smart phone machine.
