Actually, it looks from the release notes that the only performance change in 310.70 is in Far Cry 3. That being said, there are numerous bugs fixed over 310.64, including a BF3 multiplayer crash that I have experienced numerous times since installing 310.64, so this is a worthwhile update for more than just Far Cry 3.
Oh wow... that's great news. I thought it might be more than coincidence that bug occurred around the time of the update. The drivers had been working so nicely I guess I didn't want to believe it was their fault. I'll be updating to these as soon as I get home.
I downloaded and installed this for Farcry 3 and GTX590. I have 3 1920x1080 screens for a total of 5760x1080 widescreen format. While the widescreen modes work fine in F3, the game is to taxing even with 590 at that resolution in very high and ultra modes. There is also a bug where if you switch from widescreen to single monitor the FOV stays stuck at widescreen and your view becomes a very compressed version of a wide angle on a single screen. If you switch the FOV or stop/start the game or change resolutions doesn't fix it. It always seems new games no matter how new and modern screw the widescreen gamers. I blame the whole console mentality that games are developed for the lowest common denominator but the industry is always pushing for multiple monitors and widescreen gaming even in 3D but the game developers don't or can't seem to make it happen.
Wait a minute, let's give credit where credit is due, to utterly shame amd and their pathetic driver releases:

THANK YOU FOR BEING THE HONEST GAMING CARD COMPANY NVIDIA, unlike your nearing bankruptcy fanboy rage competition, who sucks at 3D.
Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is what, nearly four years old now? I at one point tried using it as a game for benchmarking, but eventually dropped it. Also, it's OpenGL accelerated so I could see how optimizations might still be forthcoming. Crazy!
Wish they would fix audio over HDMI. My computer plugs into my receiver which plugs into the TV, sometimes when turning off the receiver and TV the computer decides it can't output audio through HDMI anymore
Going into the control panel and disabling audio over HDMI and then re-enabling it usually fixes it but is really annoying to do since the computer just runs Media Center to watch recorded TV
Actually, my HD7850 has this same exact problem in my HTPC. Just switched over to a GTX660 in hopes that the issue would go away because it annoyed me so much. So far the issue has not come back, but I have only had the 660 for a couple days.
