"The bad news is that X79 and Sandy Bridge-E offer no performance benefit, at least in our testing, over good old fashioned Sandy Bridge and P67/Z68."
I wouldn't consider that bad news at all. High end hardware generally is overpriced and rarely ever gives much more in terms of performance than mid-range products, and if it does the small performance increase is rarely worth the extra cost. Personally I consider this good news as it justifies me not wasting extra money on a high end Sandy Bridge-E gaming system when the mid range products will give the same results for a fraction of the cost. I am also sure majority of the people here feels the same.
