Hello anandtech staff please don't forget about me. lol you don't know how much I could use this ram! it would be best thing I got in a long time! wish everyone the best of luck! well at least some of us can dream.
Would sure go good with my new build. :) I should have gotten in these contests earlier as they were going on. Maybe could have won a power supply too. Then I would be set.
I have a couple sticks of DDR3 laying around for a system of mine that died a while back... suppose I could always use spares for when I upgrade the rest of my systems.
Its funny on how the world has changed, just shy back to 1983, and the ram back in the day was 640KB...and boy that lasted for a while. I didn't see 1MB RAM on PC's till middle of 1990s...and around that time - 8MB, 16MB were becoming the norm.
When 32MB - even 128MB Memory became standard....it was unreal to imagine it even back then...today we are doing 4GB, soon 6GB...8GB....12GB etc...it cool to see how much progress has happened...I am sure PC will love another pair of sticks - especially to appreciate evolution in memory.
I never do a built unless I consult the anandtech guides. I always get accurate unbiased info, The results are awesome builds. I never have had any regrets after choosing components suggested by the site. Keep up the good work Anand.
I have used both of my Athlon 2500+(barton) based computers for about as long a I can. A pair of these sticks would be a significant step toward a new 4 or 6 core computer for work. Yuuuum
I am hoping to build a new system, haven't upgraded in a long while, and it is going to need memory. This would definitely help with that new box, perfect in fact.
Wow, almost 1100 comments as I write this. I guess that's still better odds than most contests I enter. Regardless, 4 GB of ram would be a nice upgrade from what I'm running now, so it would be interesting to see what I could do with it.
Hmm, I just realized those are only the ones who entered on entirely the wrong day. I bet there were a ton who posted during the wrong twenty-two hours of the ending day.
I could really use these. I already have a set of these and they run great. I would love to have 8gigs of ram. 4GB is already starting to feel a touch sluggish.
Nice ram, could really use these as I bought a nForce 790i from EVGA and didn't realize I couldn't use my DDR2 on it...I was sad, rather serindipitous if I win :)

Its funny on how the world has changed, just shy back to 1983, and the ram back in the day was 640KB...and boy that lasted for a while. I didn't see 1MB RAM on PC's till middle of 1990s...and around that time - 8MB, 16MB were becoming the norm.When 32MB - even 128MB Memory became standard....it was unreal to imagine it even back then...today we are doing 4GB, soon 6GB...8GB....12GB etc...it cool to see how much progress has happened...I am sure PC will love another pair of sticks - especially to appreciate evolution in memory.
