In the picture of the robot lawnmower, you brought up the idea of a robotic gutter cleaner.

I'm sure you know this, but iRobot (makers of the Roomba) have the Looj, which does just that. :)

And now I'm embarrassed, I didn't know that one actually existed. Boy would that have come in handy 2 weeks ago.

The iShoes were actually kinda cool. My brother talked the guys into letting them let him try them. He said the acceleration worked well, but when you let off, it braked instead of coasted as he expected it to, so that was wierd.

You missed the 3D Camera with the boxer demo. I thought that was one of the cooler things at the Sands. Also, there was the ultra-geeky snap together Unix computer that fit in your hand.

There really wasn't anything to write about. There were the same people there and the same products. We got to play with Microsoft's Surface tech demo, but, you already read about that. That is a wait till it's out then we will be interested.

I don't suppose CES had any of those newfangled cameras on display. You know, the ones that take pictures IN focus.

Given that a) it's hard to take photos through glass/plastic, esp. once covered in fingerprints; and b) the light levels probably sucked for photography, they didn't do too bad.

In fact it's amazingly hard. We always try for great pictures (there are a number of pictures that aren't published because they're not good enough) but CES is particularly bad. If you go by the numbers the press isn't even a huge part of CES, so many booth owners aren't even optimizing their setups for the press.

We could do better though, I'll freely admit that. We didn't bring our best cameras partially because such nice electronics have a tendency to disappear at CES.

For the shiny glass, perhaps you could try polarizers.

However, you might need a good low noise, high iso camera too. ;)

I wish someone would figure out that it'd be nice to have one that's a bit lower profile, for your shorter HTPC cases!

I wish someone would realize that a https://lewdlegame.io somewhat lower profile one would be excellent for your shorter HTPC cases!
