"Intel Abandons Development of Phase-Changing Cryo Cooling Tech"

No phase-change involved, these were all-liquid peltier systems similar to other peltier systems for CPU cooling.
Whilst Intel have discontinued software support, all that means in practice is the existing cooler hardware will just work like every other non-Intel peltier cooling system on the market.

"No support for Intel Core processors 14th Gen will be provided."

So intel's own coolers couldn't cool down the 14900k? lolol....

Real CPUs are harder to cool down than the AMDip toys ;)

Not surprising and I doubt many people will be impacted.

I forgot this thing even existed

I never knew this thing existed! Shows how much attention I was paying to Intel 10th-11th Gen products...

Neat technology but I understand why things like this have to be shutdown. Way too many distracting side businesses at Intel that take away focus on the core business.

Also Intel is a bit like Microsoft in that they try for roughly one to tow iterations for a new product to reach success and if it lands with a thud, then they cut it and walk away. That's why I highly suspect Arc GPUs will be cut in the next year or two.

Too bad as innovation keeps on dying at Intel. They axed Optane now biglittle cancer instead of proper cut down design like AMD and this cooling tech, although this cooler was not useful for all core high boost overclock, this is best suited for a single core high frequency only.

Are Peltier coolers the ones that generate ozone?
