    It's incredible to think what capacity they could get if it was SMR. For archiving it's a non-issue, however, I could imagine without some NAND buffer or even an extremely large cache, the drive would write at 80-100MB/sec after a few gigebytes and filling 22TB at that speed, or anything large like a data backup set...ooof.

    More like price of nand storage is going down and hard drive makers are lowering their profits by selling their storage for cheap.

    at this size, raid 10 all night. It will take all night to sync, but one pass and done.
