1) It probably has 130W at wall draw and 118W output (>90% efficiency) 2) Barring the above, you can usually have larger initial charging speed before being delegated to a lower total. Same concept as TDP numbers on a (laptop) CPU, it's not a peak, just overall steady state target.
its same as xiaomi one propably top 2 ports share 2x65W 120 total, while botom ones do 2x5W then. if top ones don't go full throttle botom ones propably can go up to 30W, maxed at 15 each. I always wonder if they can go 18 +12 as I would love to charge multiple devices without affecting one another as much as I could.
it is typical of Razer's marketing to lead customers to think that their products have better specs than they really have.
They never lie outright but they do sometimes choose to not adhere to established industry conventions when it comes to counting things — and this could be an example of that.
no, I think it's spec sheets just hasn't fully informed us. it's probably like other 130W GaN charger, using both Type-C connector could output 2x 65W, totaling of 130W.
AFAICT the only misleading phrasing is "ultra-compact", while this is a typical size for GaN chargers, if not slightly larger. And it's way overpriced, somebody mentioned $49, that would be mostly fair.
I looked on Amazon for a 130W USB Charger, and the only things I found were model specific single slot chargers (like for a Dell laptop) and an unnamed, low reviewed (couldn't even get fake reviews) Chinese charger for $80. If you've seen another 130W reputable USB Charger for $50 somewhere, please do suggest where.
I mean, I agree that $180 seems pretty steep, but $49 is funny.
Wow that Chargic is small, not to mention the weight, less than half that of this Razer. This razer is so heavy it's gonna have issues staying on a wall socket.
cm, not inches. 7.7x6.2 inch charger is beefy, like the old dell laptop slugs that weighed more than the laptop (in an era where a "1.5in" thick laptop was considered ultra-slim)
I have been very happy with the RAVPower line of GaN chargers.
The 60 Watt version is a great power/size optimum. I also have their 90W one; it seems almost 2x the size (it's not) for 1.5x the power output. The 60W charger is 4.8 x 3.0 x 4.8 cm.
So the Razer 130W is smaller than two 60W chargers...
RavPower now also has a 100W GaN charger that is slightly smaller than their 90W GaN charger. 61mm x 61mm x 32mm for the 100W 64mm x 64mm x 32mm for the 90W
Cost USB A cables still being very common Help prevent people overloading the charger (sure, you could with two USB C devices, but four absolutely would)
Does it support PPS (programmable power supply)? My Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G will only charge at full speed if the USB-PD charger also supports the optional PPS feature.
There is nothing special about this charger. When I see 130W, and 4 ports, I was expecting to see a max 100W output via 1 Type C port, or 2x 65W if both Type C ports are used. The asking price as expected from Razer is ridiculous. I can get a 120W GAN charger from a reputable company for a quarter of their asking price.

How is a group that shares 100W plus a group that shares 18W a total of 130W?basroil - Monday, June 14, 2021 - link

The specs say 130W output. My guess, just based on the numbers is that either the A ports aren't grouped or have a 30W group size.deil - Wednesday, June 16, 2021 - link

I have bought 3-port (2C1A) and 4-port (3C1A) at $39 and $49 respectively, and they are smaller than what Razer offers.Mopoint 65W 3-port: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mopoint/mopoi...

You're also using the wrong character. 'x' is a letter. The multiplication sign looks like this: ×s.yu - Wednesday, June 16, 2021 - link

It probably costs them less than that to make, so about 10x the profit margin.zodiacfml - Monday, June 14, 2021 - link

Or you could just buy an Anker Atom PD 4 for $99.fazalmajid - Tuesday, June 15, 2021 - link
The PD 4 is huge and heavy. I had one of the first ones made 2 years ago and it was also defective, randomly shutting down charging, so I returned it.This one looks suspiciously like the Hyperjuice charger.
