don't worry, deflation is coming this year. By December 2021 everybody will be selling their GPUs as everybody will be unemployed , it will be much worse than in 2008
It is sadly the same old out of stock story everywhere I got and every time I look. Unless you want to pay $100s more for your GPU. Even the 5000 series CPUs are still out of stock for a few of the models.
They'd better by gosh provide some concrete info about the total shortages. Been trying to buy a 6800XT for months--since day 1--haven't been able to cart one yet! The AMD Store is barren--and that's everywhere, not just the US.
Not a paperlaunch, the problem is the demand is like 10 time fold over Radeon cards in comparison with previous releases. Now Nvidia owners will actually buy one if they can't get an Ampere card, something that never happened lately.
The Radeon 5700XT was a 40CU and sold for $400, so I wouldn't be surprised if a 6700XT is also set for that same $400 price point. Since it looks like the 5700XT is already faster than the 3060, it may be entertaining to see how this plays out.
EDIT: On another article a poster recalled, as I didn't, that the GPU review guy had his house burn down some time ago. Not to discount his loss, but if he has not moved by now, surely he could ship the GPUs to another team member, or setup in a controlled environment elsewhere to test in.
Jarred has reviewed multiple latest-gen AMD and NV cards at Tom's. IMO the detailed tech review isn't up to par with a Ryan review, but few are (barring that amazing article Nate Oh did on the then-new Turing architecture). They include comparisons across a fair number of games on several current and last gen cards from both NV and AMD. I regret there are no Compute metrics, but it's better than just MFR specs. FWIW.
Frankly, at this point I want them to release something like a 6250. The most cut-down thing in the last 6 years from AMD, just to get new dies on the market.
Honestly even the Polaris RX 590 would be a good enough baseline card right now. It's still enough for 1080p and it would use GloFo instead of TSMC, stopping the horror scenes of RX 580 selling for 600€.
And you'll be better for it. Take a year or two off, improve your life, maybe come back to gaming with more money in your pocket and normalcy in the market.

Yup. I should probably sell by extra MSI 1660 that I bought for $260 and don't need. Can't find anything near MSRP now.nulik - Saturday, February 27, 2021 - link

I just took a look at the soon materializing, local 3060 prices: 500-650 EUR, tax included. And these are the normal store prices.heffeque - Thursday, February 25, 2021 - link

New or even semi-new GPU's don't exist outside of Borg mining collectives. It's all vaporware.Targon - Wednesday, February 24, 2021 - link
It's not vaporware, but they ARE difficult to get. I managed to grab a Powercolor Fighter 6800 off Newegg Business a few weeks ago.powerarmour - Wednesday, February 24, 2021 - link

Goes to show where to whom their allegiance is -- stores, not us. ):Maybe I'm being too hard on AT, but really, how long do two GPU reviews take? It's not like they bench these cards by hand like Adoredtv used to do.
