"Based on the previous ProBook 635 Aero G7 (2020) model, the new ProBook 635 G8 follows a similar design, with a 13.3-inch 1080p display, with support for up to 32 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD storage."
I think that 256 GB SSD is the starting option, not the max. They offer a 512 GB option for the G7, it would be odd to see that vanish in 2021, especially considering how tight that would be after the usual professional apps are installed.
Seems tiny, but it might be m2.2030 or something like this. I really hope they have second drive option, it helps a lot to upgrade those tiny laptops later on.
HP's site is sparse on configurations available for this laptop. It does say "Flexible configuration options fit a range of users and budgets." If one of those options is touch screen this might be my next work laptop.
While Iliek these models, they have very dim 220 nit screens, or blinding 1000 nit screens. They REALLY need just a 400 nit 1080p display like the envy line has.
They also skimp on the battery. Life is decent, but I'd rather have a 60-90wh battery isntead of 42wh, the more the merrier. Every OEM seems determined to limit battery life to 7-8 horus and make the batteries as small as possible.
Don't worry, the 400nit FHD IPS with 70% AdobeRGB is now standard on all HP's laptops, even on low-end ProBook and Pavilion series. Just avoid 250nits and Sure View 3 with 1000nits, both displays are practically unusable as evidenced by Notebookcheck reviews. Even 400nit FHD not be chosen with Matte type, as again HP's implementation of this results in severely blurry pixels and distortion.
So the 400nit FHD 'Brightview' glossy display is pretty much the only option on the business line, unless the laptop has a better 550nit 4K UHD Brightview 100% AdobeRGB screen option as well.
Hah, that's just 150 quid (I pretend to know some UK jargon) below a MacBook Air. Tough spot, seeing the MBA has a significantly better display, battery life and *cough* appeal. Doesn't have HDMI though ;-)
Hey guys Recommend me please because I am total noob in laptops I need it for writing reviews coz I'm working with http://essaywritersrank.com/reviews/grabmyessay/ I used mostly only browser + MCWord and Excel My Chrome got probably 25+windows open in one time Is this gonna be a good laptop for me ?

Even 2230 drives are quite upgradeable - you can already buy 1TB ones, and WD recently announted 2TB models.TheinsanegamerN - Friday, January 15, 2021 - link
These models use M.2 2280 drives. Plenty of upgrades on the market for them.Holliday75 - Friday, January 15, 2021 - link

You don't know how to use the brightness slider in windows?medi05 - Monday, January 18, 2021 - link
I suspect it doesn't help it go beyond 220 nit.I also could not find anything going beyond 300nit with AMD CPU inside on HP site.

Thunderbolt has DP, you'd just need a passive USB C DP to HDMI adapter, most people already get a dongle with an HDMI, ethernet and USB ports.lemurbutton - Saturday, January 16, 2021 - link
