It's interesting because NAS from different brands have recently just started to go from older Intel CPUs to these "newer" J4015 and J4115 processors for the "premium" home and small business NAS (standard go with really really old ARM processors). I'm guessing that they are getting these Intel chips dirty cheap.
To be honest I don't like any NAS on the market, they make them too small to have both good cooling and adequate space to add sound isolating materials effectively.
I have taken to using smaller form factor PC cases with good sound isolation for NAS boxes, it's just better that way.
I wonder what the story is with the J4115? It has no ark page but apparently it exists nevertheless and now it's end of life? Some sites even claim the J4115 is Gemini Lake refresh but that's got to be wrong.
I'm also wondering why the official RAM support is only 8 GB. It seems up to 32 GB works too but not with all DIMMs, at least according to Odroid H2 users.
American car companies make junk small cars, kill the brand, then make something new once consumers have forgotten the old brand. A successful brand could be a burden. Honda would like to retire the Civic but they can't because people want them so much.
Why doesn't intel learn from GM and let Atom go the way of the Gremlin, Chevette, Cobalt (who the hell names a car after a demon that kills miners?)

I hate how Intel pulls all the drivers off their website when a product is EOL.heffeque - Tuesday, July 7, 2020 - link
