Pfft-- 'premium chromebooks.' The $1100 macbook seems better value.

My Macbook pro experience for work has devolved into "how do I install Docker" or "how do I install Virtualbox/VMWare fusion" to get work done. So this is cheaper, more powerful, generally better specced (though Macbooks do have very nice screens), and more secure. It's a tossup for me. Just sayin'

A 1080 display isn't very premium these days.

4k Display is for the $2500 chromebooks!

See the new 4k Samsung getting 4 hours of battery life. Many prefer 1080/60 over 4k.

Google's "you're the product" OS on top of high cost hardware. Shut up and take my money so that I can join the herd of people data mined in the name of targeted product placement!

Really, Alphabet/Google should be paying us for using their creepware rather than vice versa.

Not worried about the data mining but I don't understand how this would sell starting at $800. Seems $200(+?) too high.

4K screens are being used as segmentation. Not very nice.

@Anandtech: Are you guys tracking laptops that are Athena certified?
