And the heat. And the power consumption. If I were in the market for a new phone I'd surely go for the 765 which is a more well balanced package that sacrifices a bit of peak performance (probably irrelevant in everything but benchmarks) to make up for every other disadvantage the 865 has.
I think that's because most countries aren't ready for 5G, India for example...but I swear if we had the 5G bandwidth we would still be looking for the cheapest option
To be honest I'm more interested in the K30 pro. It's a little less flashy but it doesn't have a curved screen, it has an even bigger battery, and the camera set up doesn't look worse on the paper.
"but it doesn't have a curved screen" you're saying it like it's a bad thing. Hopefully just like for samsung it's just a phase it will soon grow out of.
Bigger battery + bigger screen + 5G antennas = heavier weight. I guess you can't really find a light flagship these days because people would criticize it for having a small battery or something
For the cameras, either the field of view or the 35mm equivalent focal length should be quoted. The field of view is usually more important than if a camera has a f1.6 or f1.8 aperture.
I hope the 108 MP camera features are better than the ones that came before - hopefully as the article suggests the results in this device will be different.

MTK with the move and sees that QC 865 will be expensive so they do a 5G cheaper SoC with a Flagship CPU and near flagship GPU.No one buys it

I think Qualcomm only gives the 5G option to brag about while digging a big hole in your pocketBedfordTim - Friday, March 27, 2020 - link
Only about half of the weight increase can be attributed to the battery. The rest is probably the extra length and the increase in glass area.BlueScreenJunky - Friday, March 27, 2020 - link

Anyone else wishing for a return to sub-170g phones? Why is everyone content with carrying gigantic and fat phones? Also, RIP to Xiaomi's status as a flagship killer.

These phones are as heavy as SONY Xperia Z Ultra, with much smaller screen area ... What's the point ?! :(Retycint - Friday, March 27, 2020 - link

I think the flagship killer now shifted to their sub-brand, Redmi. There's a reason why they made Mi 10 AND Redmi K30 Pro at the same time.

the model is undoubtedly impressive, but what's this game of higher megapixels that these brands are playing?
