    "AMD B540" What?
  • valinor89 - Friday, January 24, 2020 - link

On Corsair's page it says "B450 Micro-ATX" on the specs. Must be a typo.

"In fact, the large number of RGB LEDs are a defining feature of this product family..."

You know sometimes when you see really dumb things like Candy Crush and your like, haha what a dumb idea no one is going to buy this shit and then the developer drives past you in a Lamborghini and you are like: "But how???" This is one of those moments.

Apparently, there *is* a sucker born every minute.

Lambo is for peasants. Activision bought it for 8 billion. In 2018 the outfit brought 1.5 billion in revenue. Nothing made by "serious" developers brought as much.

" Lambo is for peasants. Activision bought it for 8 billion " huh ???
  • dgingeri - Sunday, January 26, 2020 - link

I think he meant Activision bought the company that made Candy Crush.
  • Korguz - Sunday, January 26, 2020 - link

ahhhhh i thought he meant the car maker for some reason... hehehehe
  • deepblue08 - Monday, January 27, 2020 - link

That reason is poor writing style.

    Price is pretty salty.

Can someone say how much would a system assembled manually with the same components cost ?
  • PeachNCream - Friday, January 24, 2020 - link

You can check a site called pcpartpicker.com to go through the hardware and get a pretty fair idea of what a DIY project with similar components would cost.
  • flyingpants265 - Friday, January 24, 2020 - link

Or build it yourself for like $999? Half the price...
  • Sukiyucky - Friday, January 24, 2020 - link

    3700X $324
    RT 5700XT $400
    280X RGB Case $170
    Vengeance LPX 16GB 3200 DDR4 $72
    MP510 480GB SSD $100
    RM650 PS $110
    2TB SATA $50
    B540 Micro ATX Mobo $80
    Corsair Liquid AIO $130
    Win 10 Home $110

    Total $1546

    $1999 - $1546 = $454 markup minimum (+29%).

Too steep Corsair. Most people are going to buy the parts and put the system together themselves. For $454+ one can use the money to get a gaming monitor, mouse, and keyboard. They'd have to fork up another $400+ for a decent GPU as well.
  • mdriftmeyer - Friday, January 24, 2020 - link

Assembled and tested by Corsair. That's a reasonable price.
  • lane42 - Saturday, January 25, 2020 - link

Total $1546, I think Corsair pays far less then the price's you have listed.
  • patel21 - Saturday, January 25, 2020 - link

They buy in bulk, assemble in china and then sell it here with minimal support.

Really glad to see some Micro-ATX love. It needs to be the mainstream standard, not ATX. Who needs so many expansion slots these days
  • Korguz - Monday, January 27, 2020 - link

    um...no
  • Qasar - Tuesday, January 28, 2020 - link

you may not need atx sized boards, yetanotherhuman, but seems most others do...
