Nice big battery... although would've liked a bit more RAM

I bought the 6gb ram 128gb wifi china version.
Preinstalled googleplay, yes some app aint able to install via googleplay but i can install the app via their official website. I use it for gaming and set to hdr graphic, pretty handy indeed, much cheaper than s6!

The new tablet model from Huawei is certainly good. The actual filling of the middle class, but I am confused by the lack of Google services, and the potential transition to the not fully tested operating system Huawei Harmony OS. In contrast, recently the Xiaomi company made a small leak of information that in August an updated line of their tablets will be presented, where of course Google services will be present. And judging by the characteristics, there will be an excellent screen on which reading information will be much more convenient, since, for example, I sometimes order an essay for https://essayup.com/ and read a lot. Therefore, I'm waiting for the release of the tablet from Xiaomi to the global market

Yah no google play, why even bother if outside the USA. Learned my mistake from Samsung tablets, once support is up, no more google play updates to ANY software, not just OS.

Yeah, were would we be with less of Google's back hatch molesting of every scrap of data they can get their sticky hands on to build a harvestable profile about you to sell off via ad services and the inevitable major hacking screw up?

I don't get it. I have got an old KitKat smartphone and it still updates softwares from google play. Hadn't had an OS update in idk how many years

I second this, just reverted my note 2 back to it's last stock KitKat release to use as the kids tablet. Pleasantly surprised to see a sizable number of apps are getting updates from Goggle Play.

The term "selfie camera" demonstrates some of the highest quality journalism the Internet has ever seen..
  • Ryan Smith - Tuesday, November 26, 2019 - link

Unfortunately we don't get to name these things. Otherwise if I were the lord of tech naming, that and calling things magic would be the first two terms to go!
  • quiksilvr - Wednesday, November 27, 2019 - link

He's being a douche muffin because he expects his highest caliber of journalism to say "front-facing camera" because only tweenagers say "selfie-camera" and that triggers him. Also can we get Disqus or some form of commenting system that lets us edit shortly after the fact (but not permanently) and vote comments up and down or mark as spam?
  • JeffFlanagan - Wednesday, November 27, 2019 - link

You said something "triggers" someone while calling them a douche. That's falls under projection, or at the very least pot-kettle.
  • PeachNCream - Thursday, November 28, 2019 - link

Talk about aggression and projection, sheesh. Calm down and take a deep breath before a) making assumptions about age groups like the 10-12 year old range and b) randomly attacking by using Ryan as a conduit to add what you feel might be legitimacy to your name calling. I did not mention tweens and the credibility piggybacking attempt is pretty poorly veiled, so much so that I suspect you didn't even realize that was what you were doing as it seems almost a subconscious act.
  • JeffFlanagan - Wednesday, November 27, 2019 - link

It is unfortunate. I'd think it's a camera that could be used with Skype, so there's a use for it that could justify the hole in the screen, when narcissism alone would be a really bad reason to mar the screen.
  • Ithaqua - Wednesday, November 27, 2019 - link

I hereby officially give Ryan the power to change name of things (at least on Anandtech).

"Selfie Cam" is now "Skype Cam" or whatever he wants to call it in his articles.
  • Ithaqua - Wednesday, November 27, 2019 - link

    change the name of things*

Seriously, we need an edit feature.
  • PeachNCream - Thursday, November 28, 2019 - link

I don't see what adverse impact it would have on your access to hardware if your writers were granted the authority to make minor changes to terminology that would improve the overall quality.

In any event, that change was made in the specifications table on the front page of the article where the front camera was named as such so it seems as though there already is no trouble in taking a liberty with the term selfie camera and that's inconsistent with your stated lack of choice -- all within opening page.
  • PeachNCream - Thursday, November 28, 2019 - link

Right, single page article. Anyway you get the point. It's odd to claim you have no choice when choice was exerted. And the fact that you are saying you don't have a choice to make the change calls into question the independent nature of journalism on this site. Why can't you make changes? Who is micromanaging to that degree and what other things are the editor and writers gagged into stating? Readers make purchase decisions based on these articles and it is a concern if there is that degree of control preventing a writer from...well...writing.

As a happy owner of an iPad Pro, I must say having an AMOLED screen sounds wonderful.
  • Sttm - Tuesday, November 26, 2019 - link

It is, much like it is on a phone. Which was why I was expecting them to move the iPads to AMOLED after the iPhone X came out. Apple understands its better, yet doesn't use it for tablets, weird.

Too massive _ even at 10-inch (and a pound+) folks kicked-back at leisure (with little teenie hands) might mind it a bit unwieldy after 10 minutes or so ...
  • GC2:CS - Tuesday, November 26, 2019 - link

Not happening. The way Apple does OLED is not feasible for anything bigger than phone. iPhone 11 Pro Max is up to 4,5W. That is comparable to the 11” iPad Pro.

Can get a bit lower with less ppi and oled is pretty much the only way to make the iPad significally thinner and lighter at this point.

But I think mini and then Micro LED is the way.
  • airdrifting - Tuesday, November 26, 2019 - link

    People still use tablets?
  • obama gaming - Tuesday, November 26, 2019 - link

yes... that's why companies make them...
  • NICOXIS - Wednesday, November 27, 2019 - link

Sure, it's just not as popular as in the past. The fact that most manufacturers have paired substandard hardware and mediocre support is one of the reasons for their decline IMO. So it's nice to see new designs with top of the line HW at least.
