more the merrier so long they not in a rush to QDC over TLC ala Samsung (keeping the price near parity for stuff so much quicker/endurable)
damn though, 128 layers, my how high tech is FLYING, soon enough will be optical things, only a matter of time before they figure out the "systems" so the meager clock speeds we have will be from a "bygone age"
That will be wicked interesting once this becomes "common place"
hopefully in said process they also have the way to "Ecycle/recycle" also cemented in so there is less waste to contend with (as there currently is)
Samsung hasn't released their 136L NAND, whose "production" was announced in August 2019.
I thought this was "late", but it's pretty normal: Samsung announced 96L in "mass production" in July 2018 -> "released" in January 2019.
So, if the same time frame (though could be longer due to the 96L glut everywhere), Samsung's 136L SSDs will launch in February 2019.
Looks like SK Hynix & Samsung NAND cadences will align more closely, finally, for the mid-range/high-end SSD market. Though looks like Samsung will launch sooner, as usual.

1.33 Tb die is industry leading, not 1 Tb. Put out a 1.5 Tb die and I'll be interested. And no, there is no justification for "4D NAND" here.Billy Tallis - Thursday, November 21, 2019 - link
Does somebody have a 1.33Tb TLC die? I know QLC dies have reached that capacity, but I can't think of a TLC part that large off the top of my head.nandnandnand - Friday, November 22, 2019 - link
OK, you got me there. Since 1*(4/3)=1.33, it's industry-comparable.
