If you are a gamer I recommend the outemu brown switches. They have a significantly higher actuation point making them feel much more responsive in game compared with the reds.
also looks a lot like the E-Element Z-88 (104 key version), with the silver ring around the top, removable switches etc. And the font. Who actually makes all these boards?
I have the e-element tenkeyless. It is a VERY good keyboard. Uses otemu switches instead of cherry. the base is metal the whole thing is just super solid and stands up to daily use often over 12 hours.
well I certainly agree with that. I have one each of 104 and 81 key :) Love the minimalistic look and the price. Just wish there was a way to control the lighting in software. They tout the ability to control it without software as a feature, and it is, but it'd be nice to have the option to create and store some profiles on my PC.
there is this if one feels adventurous: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comme... Not sure I do. My 104 key version is pre swappable switches, and perhaps a completely different model as far as firmware is concerned
The reviewer is using language which implies a critical POV. Cheap often != good, so "cheap but good" means that this product is unexpectedly good for the price, which is a much more glowing review than "cheap and good".
More nonsensical branding from the computer industry in a misguided attempt to meaningfully tap into the emotions of potential buyers. I'm convinced that branding is decided deep into binge drinking sessions or someone just asked a random tween what would sound cool without filtering the things that fall out of said tween's mouth before slapping them on a box and shipping a product.
procedure to put in new firmware. Irritating as it might be, this training is significant for good security. So before doing whatever else, we prescribe you reset your switch to processing plant settings (on the off chance that it's been undermined as of now) and introduce the most recent firmware. https://192-168-1-1login.org/

It looks like my Redragon K557- has similar design, ugly looking keycaps, replaceable switches, even the software has uncanny similarities.I also own the HyperX Elite Mx blue and red and I.gotta say the outemus feels better to type on imo.
Red outemus are somewhat lighter than the reds too,.

I agree. I have the Redragon K550 and the software looks the same.Cellar Door - Tuesday, July 2, 2019 - link
Same with browns as well, however I had a switch die on me after only 3 months of use - so they are cheap for a reason.CU - Tuesday, July 2, 2019 - link
Had mime for over 1.5 years without issue. May have just got a bad switch, it happens.Opencg - Friday, August 9, 2019 - link

It's just a bad switch. Switches on my keyboard hasn't died yet and it's over a year old already.MamiyaOtaru - Tuesday, July 2, 2019 - link

I have a z-88 as well, its a fine keyboard for the money. Only complaint is the hideous typeface on the keys.chilidogs - Monday, July 1, 2019 - link

It just struck me as an awkward use of language, and one which reinforces the stereotype (being an exception which proves the rule).PeachNCream - Monday, July 1, 2019 - link

Great. Another super thick keycap, ergonomic nightmare. Why?When will keyboard manufacturers learn that thicker keyboards make absolutely no sense.

Software, for a keyboard?I mean, you just type on it, right? Maybe make some macros. Set the backlight level.
I went into my Steelseries Synapse or whatever it is years ago and set my mouse up. Haven't been back in since.

Hopefully the quality is similar between their different keyboards. Ordered up their Firerose to use at work. I'm sick of these Dell keyboards.
