Micron 1y is not just ramping now, it is in full mass production since end of 18 and yields are mature for a long time. Why do you have to make half of the shit up in your "news" stories???

i thought 16 Gb were already selling in servers for quite some time, it was the UDIMM versions for desktop that were missing and Samsung was the 1st to make the udimms for desktop. that was 1 year ago if i am not wrong and intel replied by saying their next gen CPUs (at the time upcoming 8700k) would support it, but 7700k did not. and AMD replied by saying their memory controllers doesnt have any such limits in any ryzen CPUs, whatever capacity UDIMMs comes out ryzen will support it.
