We Americans don't know what bst or utc is...

... also, we can't be bothered to look it up. LOL

Given the term UTC been around for nearly sixty years and all timezones are defined as plus/minus X hours from it (including timezones covering the US) that's a little concerning. If however you're unfamiliar with the term, the fact it's applied to an event in London should provide a clue it's a reference to Greenwich Mean Time, and BST being British Summer Time (aka daylight saving).

well, I've only ever heard GMT, not UTC. I've certainly never heard of BST, though I get it may be in reference to DST...(I always hate that this time is given during some parts of the year--just say what time it is now. No one cares if we are in DST/BST or not. Just what time is it, where you are at the moment, based on the standard reference time).
Anyway, my main point is that this all sounds like some commie plot. I will have none of it.

I guess you're not involved in any sort of technical field, because UTC is used pretty universally. GMT has daylight savings so it's not a good metric.

No, I am not, and yep: definitely sounds like a commie plot!

I don’t believe you. I live all the way on the west coast and it is obvious what +8 means when calculating time offsets. Well, +7 now, due to archaic laws.

Hopefully they'll come back to their senses and put a headpone jack and let the screen free of notches or holes.

SD slot! I'm getting really irritated by these new phones having great cameras with no good way to store photos locally. Even with cloud storage (Amazon, Google, etc.), it's just not as convenient as popping out the card and transferring to my PC for editing, especially for 4K60 video!

Dream on with the headphone jack.
  • jeremyshaw - Tuesday, May 14, 2019 - link

I’d be surprised if it wasn’t overpriced, USB-c only (no headphone jack), notch, no external storage, and sealed in battery. Courage, after all.

I wonder if the pop up camera was tested the same way Samsung tested the Galaxy Fold

The case shares many similarities with its sibling: The matte back with a subtle dot pattern, the chrome-colored frame with the 2 surrounding grooves, and therefore the silver frame of the house button really reminds us of the Samsung Galaxy S5. Samsung fans love the case because it's light; the folks that don't like Samsung revile it because it's completely manufactured from plastic. As a fact, the fabric impression isn't as sophisticated because the HTC One Mini 2, as an example, is totally fabricated from metal. However, the case is sturdy: Pressure on the rear or the front isn't visible on the screen.
