What I'm finding is I'm using the phone for more voice, and less of everything else, as I dig out the tablet when I need to do web anything. The sound is way better, and the screen size incomparable.
So what I want now, is a 5G dum-phone (for network compatability), and just keep the tablet. But all I see are high end offerings...
When I read the headline I thought someone brought a phone with a 240Hz *refresh rate* to the market to one-up Razer. Without it, the only thing that sets this phone apart from what I can see is the 12 GB of RAM. I have no clue what a phone might run that needs more RAM than my laptop has, and I'm sort of scared to find out.
It runs Android so at least 7 of those 12GB will be needed to run Google's custom blend of phone-home spyware. The rest will support the many layers of leaky Java virtual machines between any given poorly coded Play Store, cash grab app and the out-of-date Linux kernel.
yeh sadly no matter how good the specs appear to be, when you are talking about gaming especially on a phone you generally would prefer at some point to want or need privacy I do not know about anyone else but when I am playing games or watching movies I do not watch them in silence, they need sound, to get sound they need proper speaker setup what is offered certainly does not match that requirement, no 3.5mm absolute solid pass.
3.5mm jack is one of the simplest ports in every respect that phone maker etc can add to the device, it makes the user happy, just like DL-DVI HDMI, the little things mean so much, like using 4000Mah size battery on a gaming phone when there are others out there offering many times larger battery.
What phones have a battery "many times larger" than 4000mah other than that Energizer monstrosity? This is on par with other gaming-focused phones in terms of the battery size.
I don't see point of gaming phones like this. The problem is not the hardware but rather the software. Every year there is a new phone but there are not alot of games which takes advantage of this hardware.
Xiaomi's haptic response is as fast the rog phone 2. However, the most powerful chipset is coming with a rog phone 2 and I'm not sure about its build quality.
