It's from MSI. It's hard to get your hopes up for anything good out of that company given their penchant for bling that ignores functionality.

Should the touchpad be centered in the middle of the chassis or be centered with the spacebar key?

Both are valid design choices; now that you raise the issue I find it amusing that MSI is at least partially catering to fans of both groups. The Stealth is centered on the chassis, the Raider is centered on the pad.

I always prefer centered on the chassis, though it starts to look weird when there's a numpad. Nice to see some other manufacturers put it there

Both. Needs to be a lot bigger too, with much better palm rejection and possibly digitizer pen support in future laptops.

"Slightly heavier and just under half a kilogram heavier "

So let me get this straight: you're saying it is heavier?

Article doesn't mention it comes optionally with the i9 8950HK CPU like the new Gigabyte Aero refresh. I'm sure it can't keep all the cores boosted at full load because even with the regular 8750H it throttled in reviews and the cooling solutions seems identical. But it'll have real nice 1-2 core Turbos North of 4.5GHZ that's good.
2080 max-Q + i9 that will be a thermal challenge in these thin laptops. Hoping to see a 4-fan solution in this laptop this time around.
Glad they updated the chassis to get rid of the 2.5" drive bay and make the battery larger.

At least, I think i heard it would have an i9 option. I know the Gigabyte Aero, will from CES reports.

I wonder how long you can game on that before it starts overheating... can't imagine it could reach reasonable sustainable temperatures in a long load (esp. in warmer areas)
