Dual monitors are pretty cheap, but you can bet if someone asked me for my requested hardware (software development), this would be on my list.
I do wish you could get 32:10 aspect ratio (16:10 side-by-side) instead of 32:9, but once you break the barrier of 1200 vertical lines, I can deal with it. That extra 120 lines over 1080 can make a real difference.
Early in the year I upgraded to a 34" ultra wide curved Dell. Initially, I ordered the 38" version before I came to my senses and cancelled the order. 49" may be good for the right workplace. I needed room on my desk for a lamp and it needed to be positioned where it would shine down on my physical desktop. This limits where I can place the monitor, even with my monitor arm.
the gallery all show an outline around where the arm attaches to the back, the normal hallmark of a VESA mount being available. This one looks like the larger and less common 200x100mm size though; which means it won't work (well?) with most monitor arms on the market, which only have 100x100mm mounting points.
That's great! I use 2 24 inch monitors (at home) and I am business client. I love that monitor! Of course, the cost of that monitor is 4x24 monitors...
Shoutout to a fellow 2x16:10 user! I’m a niche customer at this point, but I’d love a 3840x1200 option, 1440p is just too small for my eyes at that screen size.
Woulda been nicer if it was 5120x1600.. also, not a fan of curved displays. Does anyone actually like them? Never seen a display that big curved tho, maybe it works as long as it's not too extreme.
I was skeptical of curved monitors, but found with the Dell U3818DW that the curve felt natural and relaxing for my vision. It can be more eyestrain to use a wide flat monitor than a wide curved monitor. Coming from years with flat monitors, my vision adapted to the curve in a couple hours -- far less time than I thought it would take.
Dang it, I want something with at least 2160 vertical, so I can watch 4K content in full, with wider than 4K horizontal. Doesn't even need to be hugely over 4K - 5K horizontal would be fine.
Unfortunately this monitor will not work at the native resolution with many MacBook Pros, even the newest models, since the built-in GPU is not compatible with the monitoring syncing type Dell has chosen. My thumb-in-the-air guess is that 80% of Mac users will not be able to get the best resolution on this monitor, and 50% of those will not care/notice. Check 8641919 support issue on Apple and read all about it!

Pretty sure that's why he said "he can deal with it when it's over 1200 lines."lilmoe - Wednesday, October 17, 2018 - link
16:10 has been a revelation on my desk for software development. +++++1Strawb77 - Monday, January 7, 2019 - link

I don't think this is VESA compatible... lolDanNeely - Tuesday, October 16, 2018 - link

Haven't done it but it's my impression that 100 -> 200 adapters can be had.Peskarik - Tuesday, October 16, 2018 - link

You can up the scaling for everything. Most of us wouldn't be able to see 4k at 15.5" if they didn't up scaling.skrewler2 - Tuesday, October 16, 2018 - link

Yes I like them. And the wider the monitor the more curve is required because the angle becomes too extreme to avoid image changes due to the angle.10101010 - Tuesday, October 16, 2018 - link

Yeah, I'd rather have a 5120×1600 49", a little taller, and a little narrower (physically). That would be absolutely amazing.CharonPDX - Wednesday, October 17, 2018 - link

I bet it still doesn't have a dedicated KVM button for using the built in KVM too...just like the 39" ultrawide.AxelBigDog - Tuesday, February 12, 2019 - link
