I have an ioSafe USB 3.0 backup drive at every client. They have a negligible price premium over a regular external plastic drive and compliment a 3-2-1 backup solution. Obviously most people will use off-site backup as the first resort for data recovery but if a fire nocks out the internet connection the ioSafe will continue to backup until the power goes out.
It all comes at the whether the user would pay that much to get an ioSafe drive or just a regular 2TB USB 3.0 external drive. The important factor would be how important your work data is and you're putting too much money. There are various gaming PC's that may show complications to that.
