"Even with all the space-saving, Cooler Master found room for RGB LEDs under each key."

... because when working in the airport or giving a presentation nothing says successful businessman like having your keyboard lit up with frag harder disco lights.

A keyboard is one of the only places on a PC where having lights is actually useful. Sure, they don't need to be RGB, but I can't imagine RGB LEDs take up much more space than single color LEDs. You an always set them to white or off if you don't like the colors.

Yup, this. Set the colour to as close to off as you can, in your chosen shade. Doesn't have to be garish and should save battery life.

I find that real white LEDs do a nicer job of being white than mixing RGB primaries, though of course you're stuck with just the one temperature of white.

My keyboard has the only LEDs I care about. Backlit keys are a must in my opinion. I set them to white and they're professional enough to be ignored.

Dude, blank keycaps on an Ergodox are the way to go. You actually have to look at your keys like an animal?
