    Meh.

A bunch of boring crap about iPhone/Pad/Watch apps for the Apple smuggerati.

This must mean the grand finale is an ARM powered Mac! Finally we will be free from the bounds of physics that constrain those non-hipster losers that aren't part of our cult!

Dolby Atmos on Apple TV. Does it mean they will enable bitstreaming?

They actually focused on performance for ios 12. That's pretty cool. Maybe they'll convince me to update my air 2 from ios 10 then
  • jaydee - Monday, June 4, 2018 - link

What about size of iOS 12? I've skipped the last few iOS updates, because because my iPad Air only has 32 GB and with every iOS update in the past, I've seemed to lose more and more storage space.

Meanwhile, what they didn't announce at their drone-feeding session is that Apple dumped support for OpenGL and OpenCL.

And they have never supported Vulkan natively at all, so aside from that idiot "metal" kruft there's no real standards-compliant way to do graphics or compute on Macs or iOS.
  • lilmoe - Monday, June 4, 2018 - link

    Oh, that sucks....
  • Matthmaroo - Tuesday, June 5, 2018 - link

    Dude Apple has metal

If you want to rev on Apple it’s metal , I doubt you develop for anything
    So what do you care

Which is already used by most major software engines that have a Mac client. The engine will abstract most of it away from you.

  • jordanclock - Monday, June 4, 2018 - link

Did you expect a new device to be announced at WWDC?
  • Landiepete - Tuesday, June 5, 2018 - link

I watched the keynote with growing amazement. Apple has turned into a toy manufacturer. And not a word about the 'serious' issues like the macbook pro keyboards.

    Well done Apple. You just lost another customer;
  • cfenton - Tuesday, June 5, 2018 - link

It seems a lot of people forget that Mac only makes up a small percentage of Apple's revenue at this point. It's something around 10% at this point. Of course they're going to focus on mobile.
  • HStewart - Tuesday, June 5, 2018 - link

But keep in mind the Mac is primary way for iOS developers to create iOS application - even the iPad Pro can not create iOS application

This and of course that iOS is limited subset of MacOS, is primary reason that Mac on ARM is only rumors
