Tubes are not pre-bent. It just comes with hard tubing. You still need a heat gun and other supplies to bend the tubing to fit your case and components.
The super small reservoir is also a huge negative but they do that so you realize you need one twice the size later and they get the double wammy on prices.
Not really sure how ideal this kit is to new users. Their soft tubing kits were great for what they were, but the extra tooling you'd need just to do hardline is always a big upfront sunk cost, which could otherwise be spent on other higher quality PC parts.
The dedicated hardline open loop builders already have the tools and would buy their parts piecemeal to fit the look they want. The hardline novices, which this kit looks to satisfy neither has the tooling to complete the build with this kit, and they're likely missing a lot of stuff to get the bends done right (most likely a lot of extra tubing and a lot, a lot more fittings).
I think the idea here is that it's a one-stop shop to get most of the major components that you know will work together. Pump, block, radiator, tubing, and fittings that you know are all compatible. I do agree that this is absolutely custom-loop levels of effort required to assemble all this into a usable water cooling system. However, it at least simplifies the process of buying all the major parts and you could certainly build a functional hard-line loop out of just what is in this box.
