Ugh. Gotta give MSI a worst of both worlds prize for that keyboard. Unlike thinner/smaller bezelled laptops it has space for a 4 column num pad; but has a 3 col layout that will be useless for anyone who'd want it because the non-standard layout would defeat touch typing. Meanwhile they've offset the touchpad well to the right of center to align it with the spacebar which will annoy a second group of users.
This is one of the worst designed machines I've seen. Its outrageously large but has nothing to show for it other than its i9 CPU.
Many laptops in this size category can support dual GPUs, has a 90Wh+ battery, or some other stand out feature. This machine has nothing that stands out other than its immense size and poor design choices.
A shame that MSI has MS16L13 / Eurocom Tornado F5 with desktop class LGA Z170/Z270 chipset with GTX 1080. Full socketed HW a barebone whitebook which they dont even advertise as MSI branded doesnt have SSEngine. And a lot but has the Sabre DAC, LED software all non MSI branded.
Look at this this one has EC lockdown, Fake i9 with Hexcore chip on mainstream with skyrocketing price. MSI has all the expertise for making that LGA into this shell but they won't. Pathetic to buy such an overpriced machine at that cost. Better get a Z270 Clevo P870TM1. Or if people dont want to get involved with HS meddling due to the bad QC (Unless you purchase from HIDEvo US and Obsidian for EU). Still if people want to get ripped off with BGA. Don't buy BGA Alienware garbage better buy this BGA MSI instead.
Sad that Intel killed of proper binned rPGA MX, XM mobile extreme with this HK low binned poor cTDP crippled trashware with faux Thermal Velocity Single core B$ advertising as Max Turbo.
Good god who are these made for? MSI makes their own gaming options with 120 Hz panels at half the price and weight. Does someone really want to lug around a full powered 1080 to play 60 fps games? The most attractive use case I can see for a system like this is when someone wants to be able to use a proper CPU but knows they have to move it once a week. All this RGB stuff does nothing for customers like that so they clearly are not the target demographic.
