Eighth gen H-series (aka 45W mobile versions of the desktop cpu's) aren't released yet. Only eighth gen U-series (15W, ultra low power) have been released. The H series cpu's should have 6 cores similar to desktop coffee lake, though with much lower based clocks and all core boost clocks to stay under 45W.
I don't believe there is a 8th Generation update for i7-7820HK level of mobile CPU yet. The quad core U processors would likely be less performance that 8th generation update - my guess is either 6 or 8th cores on mobile CPU.
Just enough with the nose camera period. If you're not going to put it on top to go for minimal bezels on 3 sides just drop the cam entirely; it's basically useless there. Just pocket the savings and call it a win.
Stock seems to be a common issue with these Gigabyte laptops. I'm not sure whats up with their supply chain but I had a similar issue when I tried to get their Aero 15 back in May 2017.
Still looks like the USPS bird to me. Other than that, specs are impressive. I dont need a laptop that big. I have a DT for that. The 15x peaks my interest though, albeit I should wait till the "8th" gen 6 cores come out. I can hold out on my ASUS perfectly fine until then.

Enough with the nose-cam garbage just to sate the non-existent bezel haters.DanNeely - Friday, January 19, 2018 - link

Unfortunately Dell didn't get the message. LG did though, thankfully.Jedi2155 - Wednesday, January 24, 2018 - link
I hate bezels, and I have money to prove it.Don't really care for the webcam though.
