Nope. We take conflict of interest quite seriously here. I am not involved with any coverage of Ambarella, and, to be honest, I wasn't even aware Andrei was taking up the demo till this article came out.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to disclose potential conflict of interest in the article? While I have no doubts about the professionalism of Anandtech editors, I think it would be nice for transparency.
Anyway, it's not like this is a review, where there's some qualitative judgement rendered, in addition to considerations of how to benchmark a product. So, I have a bit of trouble with the idea that this article needs to disclose a conflict of interest of someone who wasn't even involved in it.
Why? Does he work there? If so, another hazard of reporting on your employer would be opening yourself to accusations of revealing non-public information. So, it would be a bad idea all around.
