Well, I hope they'll lift the "you can only play what you already bought" limitation when they launch in earnest, as that would be what could make the service more appealing to a larger audience. I mean, I can already stream my steam library without much of an issue, and with mods too (after all, we are talking about PC gaming). Plus, mods become much more important when we talk about streaming something like an MMORPG or Skyrim.
Network latency is a real issue. Other types of delay 99% of gamers don't care about. Same reason audiophile equipment doesn't outsell consumer equipment, if it's not an obvious improvement most people don't care how much better it is on paper.
I have used geofrce now for a while now on multiple different networks of various strengths and it has worked with no noticeable lag in every FPS I have played it works amazingly well.
