What in the world does "appropriate backhaul configuration" mean in regard to Velop? Is backhaul wired (as in the original Velop) or wireless?

Both. The firmware choose the appropriate backhaul based on which one would be better in that particular case.

I also have used many routers but Belkin router is one of the best routers. It provides good speed at a specific distance to users.
