Wonder if it will be able to use the internet via cellular while connected to one of my (canon, fuji, olympus, gopro) cameras WIFI... This has never worked on any of my phones (and last I checked we are in 2017).
The Mate line used to have a large display, now they'll be moving it to a mainstream size and that ruins it. Even worse, there is nothing out there with a large 18:9 display and they would have had a monopoly. The Mate 9 is 78.9 mm wide, they should have kept it as wide.
Nice phones, but I still can't understand how smartphones replace desktop/laptops for some people. Still, price is far too high for me to buy one out of my own pocket. Maybe my company will pay for one so I can dev AI apps.
Will these Huawei phones support emulators? According to https://playstationguide.co all the Android phones running on up to Nougat will support the tweaking apps like emulators. But the latest Huawei Mates will get an update of Android Oreo. Now the question is whether these phones will support the apps or not. I am confused.

i would prefer huawei to keep the width but increase the screen size (which will decrease the top and bottom bezels)jjj - Monday, October 16, 2017 - link
That's what i was saying. That Mate 10 5.9 inch display if turned into 18:9 would be about 6.46 inch
Or if you look at display width for Mate 10 vs 10 Pro, you got about 73.22mm vs 68,25mm and that's a pity.
