Had a weird one in 17.8.2 where Office programs like excel would have black lines all over the place. Hope this fixes it.

The new AMD Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.9.1 is great as it runs well with the RX Vega 56: http://rxvega56.zohosites.eu/

Last in the list of the fixed issues is "Random corruption may appear in Microsoft desktop productivity applications."

They still hasn't fixed scaling problems in 17.7.2. I select full panel scaling and i can still see black bars on both sides when i try to use 800x600 on some dx9/dx10 games.

Is this a new thing you're experiencing? I don't use AMD cards but had a similar issue last year when I upgraded to a new monitor - nothing else had changed about my system, but I was suddenly getting pillar or letterboxing when scaling was set to fit to display in software/display driver.

I had to change the monitor setting for "ratio", which was confusingly set by default to "wide" instead of "original" on my LG panel. Changing to "original" made it work as expected. For what it's worth, it also had another setting called "1:1" which basically ignored the driver scaling completely, which seems like what might be happening with you.

I obviously don't know anything about your setup, and I haven't used an AMD card for a while, but it's worth having a quick look in case something like this is causing the problems.

Yeah sounds like a monitor setting is incorrect. Most monitors now-a-days have scaling that'll keep aspect ratios as a setting.

I have this problem on my laptop. I have NVIDIa on mu desktop and it works pretty fine. I'm starting to think it's from the panel of my laptop.

800 x 600? Boy that really takes me back in time. Are you sure you don't mean DX7? Yeesh. Also I can't stand stretched images so I refuse to alter the aspect ratio for old titles (and TV shows). Black bars all the way! Even with the bars the display area is larger on my monitor than it was when I originally played those games.

    Dear AMD,
Radeon WattMan has always been generally awkward and unreliable for controlling voltage and frequency on my Sapphire R9 290. I would like better support for Hawaii/Grenada GPU's or a toggle to disable WattMan in favor of other OC software like TriXX and Afterburner.
