Good to see them fixing problems for the new Vega cards but I have to ask where is Windows 8.1 support. They have Windows 7 support in the new drivers but it seems Windows 8.1 has been over looked again. It makes very little sense to completely ignore a whole OS but still support a very much older OS.
Yes I realize Windows 7 probably had a larger user base but Windows 8.1 still has a fairly large user base as well and even has newer features and better support for newer hardware than Win 7. If I still had any Windows 8.1 systems I would be very pissed off that AMD just said screw it our users either downgrade to Win 7 or upgrade to Windows 10 we don't want to support 8.1.
All this does is make them look even more crappy because I am sure Nvidia still supports 8.1 and would love to get all those upset peoples sales.
Windows 8 was worse than Vista when I needed to change even basic settings. Often times I had to conclude they had gotten rid of a setting altogether. It was a well hated OS. Besides that, Microsoft doesn't want people to stay on it. It costs them money to maintain the security. They might work with AMD to keep people from using it. You can bet that there's a reason 8 wasn't supported, or maybe the support is coming later.
Upgrade to Windows 10? I already have done all my systems except one to Windows 10 but I do have 1 Windows 7 system left. I was mentioning it because I am sure there are still a lot of people that are on 8.1 and do not want Windows 10 for their own reasons. To drop support for a newer OS but keep support for a old OS like Win 7 seems kind of strange.

Why don't you just upgrade to Windows 10? You can still upgrade for free from here.https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/wind...
Complaining about Windows 8.x support when you can upgrade to a much better OS doesn't make much sense.

Anyone else notice these drivers are almost a full 100MB smaller than 17.8.1 ?
