So what are the dimensions of the seat, height of the seat from the floor, and the max weight limit? If this thing can't handle at least 500lbs. it isn't worth the price.

If you need it to handle 500lbs, it's not worth the price. More marginal utility from medical bills, a gym membership, and a dietary advising plan.

Obviously 500lbs is to accommodate a companion on each knee. Who could resist someone with a chair like this?

I won't buy a computer chair that isn't rated for at least 350lbs and I only weigh 200. The higher it's rated the more abuse it'll put up and the longer it will last for us chubbies and normals.
• StevoLincolnite - Wednesday, May 24, 2017 - link

Exactly. The higher it's rated load the more durable it will be overall.

I don't really see how it handle 500lbs and offer the reclining feature. I don't see any foot rest in the pictures so when it's reclined (completely flat) the center of gravity will tend to move outside the wheelbase... Unless there's a footrest that pops up to keep your legs horizontal also and balance it.

Anyway, just by googling for "gamin chair" I found dozens of other chairs at half the price that claim the same thing as this one. For this price Corsair would better offer a lot more than a 2 year warranty.

Quality and features usually set chair price more than weight limit.
Take a look from office chairs by SteelCase or Herman Miller, for example.
At work, I use a Steelcase Leap which retails for over $1000 and has a 350lbs limit.

120kg, rest of specs here: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/corsair-t1-race-gamin...

225kg???
What on earth do you hide into your chairs?
Bars of solid lead?
• vladx - Wednesday, May 24, 2017 - link

The world record is 900lbs so he still has ways to go.

Since when is a racing car seat a gaming chair?
• edcoolio - Wednesday, May 24, 2017 - link

THIS.

It looks like the seat a 16 year old would pick out to put in his 92 Honda to match the giant spoiler and loud muffler after watching the entire The Fast and the Furious movie series one too many times.

DXRacer chairs are literally made in a car seat factory, specifically Jiangin Dexin Auto Parts in China. So that's how racing car seats became gaming seats.

My biggest concern with this are the arms. I had a chair with what appears to be the same arm mechanism as this one. The swivel feature utterly ruined them, unlike the other movements it required a minimal amount of force to pivot; putting any weight on beyond that of your forearm itself was enough to make it turn 20 or 30 degrees in or out. Utterly horrible mechanism and I ended up replacing them with a set of more limited arm pad holders saved from an older chair after a few weeks.

I'm also mildly suspicious about the arm pads themselves. The only place I've seen that cube pattern finish was on a chair that warrantied 7 (10?) years of 24/7 use (eg in a police station/etc). Coincidentally it was also the chair with the awful swivel armpad holders. The problem there was that to hit the durability claim they used a rubber that was hard enough it might as well have been a textured metal slab and were horribly uncomfortable to use.

Judging from the "package size" on Corsair's website, I'm guessing this comes disassembled.
That's a deal breaker for me after my experience with Maxnomic.
I ended up buying a real office chair which cost more; however, it came fully assembled and is definitely more comfortable and of higher quality.

I love my Maxnomic. Didn't think it was hard to assemble either. So I guess YMMV.

Looks like a re-branded DX Racer chair... https://www.dxracer.com/us/en-us/product/1/gaming_...

Seems like a nice chair for people who never move at all and sit upright all the time.
• madagent00 - Wednesday, May 24, 2017 - link

For that much money you can buy a 100lb La-Z-Boy chair from amazon. Which is MUCH nicer.

Very wonderful sharing. Would you like to have a look at Songmics wholesale & custom office chairs and custom gaming chairs come with high end quality and reasonable wholesale price for you, and best of all, all the chairs are ergonomics.
