It's impressive how quickly OnePlus got established and became competitive. Maybe they've been around forever and I just was out of the loop but it seems like they sprang up overnight.
I'm not going to lie. I've been on this site for like 15 years. The second PC I ever built was directly influenced by reviews from the site and info from the forums. And in the end, I really need a new phone. :)
So I'm supposed to comment... but what should I say? Should I compliment OnePlus for making great phones? Should I say how much I'd really love to replace my LG Nexus 5 that has served me so well for so long? Should I muse of the strengths of Android versus the weakness of iOS? So many things to comment... maybe another 20 years will be long enough.
This would be great since I am still on a 2013 Moto X and even then stuck on KitKat because of software issues with it on Lolipop. Please let me jump right up to 7.1 (I don't mind setting up custom ROMs)
Rooted, modified, threw on Multi ROM and added the NetHunter ROM overlay with ubuntu installed as an "additional ROM", etc. I used the the crap out of that phone. About 3 weeks ago it dropped out of my backpack while I was on campus and the screen didn't just crack, it shattered (even while in a case and with another glass protector on it) and became completely unresponsive. 2 new screens later, and it still doesn't work like it used too. The generic aftermarket ones with the digitizers suck to say the least. It finally completely died a few days ago.
Winning a new One Plus 3t and being able to do what I use to (and even more) with the first generation One Plus One would be awesome!
Now if only this came with unlimited free calling and texting anywhere, any time for life! Just slip that subtext in there. Right anandtech? Right? We're not shy.
Have to admit that every iteration they come out with, brings me closer and closer to trying out one of their phones! Their evolution has been great to watch.
I think OnePlus is the best phone long term. Since im still on my iPhone 4s, which arguably is still running, it's time to upgrade. Hopes that oneplus 3T will last longer hehe. B-)
I remember consulting with the guys from AT back in the day (when I was in the same industry). They were always willing to help out on technical issues or with industry contacts. Congrats on 20 years, the right way.
I remember when the site began. Then I followed Anand building a server based on a dual cpu Tyan board if I am not mistaken(I admit this dates me). Glad to see how his website grow and expanded while he was finishing his engineering studies, Quite an amazing accomplishment
Congrats on being in this industry for such a long time and making choices easier by providing insightful reviews. Here is to at least another 20 years. :)

I had a OPO that I LOVED!Rooted, modified, threw on Multi ROM and added the NetHunter ROM overlay with ubuntu installed as an "additional ROM", etc. I used the the crap out of that phone. About 3 weeks ago it dropped out of my backpack while I was on campus and the screen didn't just crack, it shattered (even while in a case and with another glass protector on it) and became completely unresponsive. 2 new screens later, and it still doesn't work like it used too. The generic aftermarket ones with the digitizers suck to say the least. It finally completely died a few days ago.
Winning a new One Plus 3t and being able to do what I use to (and even more) with the first generation One Plus One would be awesome!
