Am I missing something or is there no touchpad/track ball/nub?

It's above the keyboard, the glossy surface in the second-to-last picture.

"15.6" IPS panel with 1920×1080 resolution" WHAT!!! This isn't 2015 at least give one an option of 1440p 120Hz for a 2999 dollar laptop.

    Why?
You don't have a video card that can keep up and 1920x1080 on 15" provides plenty of pixel density.

So you don't have to deal with issues relating to downscaling when gaming on a GAMING laptop.

I wish this "It's [insert year] so it should be [insert high resolution]" would stop. We have only just got to 1080p60 being regularly possible on many devices, and the returns of higher resolution greatly diminish.

Wonder what sort of microswitches are in that keyboard. Pretty sure there isn't room under those keycaps for Ye Olde Cherry MX. And I'm equally sure they aren't bold enough to be "Well, technically a silicone dome is a mechanical switch."

I imagine using that touchpad would be fatiguing since you can't rest your wrists on the keyboard.

nice laptop but... if your getting a laptop with a 10 series GTX card I would suggest nothing less than an i7, that being said I think both of these laptops should have had an i7. G-Sync is nice but paying 3K is not worth it, you should still be fine playing games with v-sync. I paid around 1800 for my MSi laptop which has a bigger 17" screen and has a 120hz refresh rate which I did not find on any other laptop, I personally think this is the best laptop to get at the moment. Only downside is the ssd space is very low and I'm pretty sure these acer laptops will not have a 512gb or higher ssd, so one should consider a Samsung T3 or similar.
