What sort of nonsense list is that? Nobody with working eyes would confuse this for a Lumia 950 XL. Both this and the Lumia 950 XL have the exact same SOC, RAM, NAND, and screen resolution as nearly every flagship Android phone from 2015. Is the Nexus 6P a Lumia 950 XL clone as well?
I have an M9. The battery is a year old and with even moderate use it won't last a day. It's shocking and my first reaction on seeing the 810 employed when there's any alternative was "nooooo, what are you doing?!" it's a fast enough chip but the battery life is shocking and you can cook an egg on it. The battery life is acceptable when new but you add a few apps on there and a mature battery and it's not fit for purpose. Good they added a large battery as they'll need it. Awful decision for a high end phone. Reasons for it explained by the article but honestly.... For that price I would not pay for an outdated chip that was pretty bad then and is awful now.

Honestly, I would seriously recommend against it. The SD810 is a dire SoC. Yes the performance is there (mostly) but in terms of being able to use a smartphone properly without constantly worrying about it going flat, it's crap. Utter crap. You might get a full day of use out of it to start with but over time as the battery has a few charge cycles put through it you'll struggle to get a day (mine stopped lasting a day after about 9 months of use). I have an M9 and whilst I appreciate this has a bigger battery, it's not big enough to offset the severe lack of capacity / inefficiency. If I was using Bluetooth and GPS all the time I might consider the lack of a day of use acceptable but I'm not and it isn't. If your lifestyle means you're happy to carry around a battery pack to charge it mid day then that's fine but this inefficient chip should never have been resurrected. Maybe see if any of the SD820 based devices are now low enough in price for you - the G5 for example? It's not just battery - I'm now starting to notice lag in some apps (an even when scrolling menus!) which wasn't there before which just shouldn't happen with what was a flagship SoC just a year or so ago. I'd expect a good 2 years before basic tasks started lagging. Maybe it's a poorly optimised update that has come through or something but it's gonna affect this phone as well as the M9 as they're basically the same and the software development is going to be in parallel.
Honestly, for your sanity, don't get this phone. HTC do some damn fine work - this isn't a good example of it.

People who care about tech and hardware specs will think this is a legitimate joke and on the off chance a sales rep is able to convince someone knowledgeable to even look at it, that person is surely going to laugh at the price considering HTC doesn't have the brand cache as Samsung and it's more expensive than the 10!

HTC has truly made some fatal compromises in dealing with sprint for this. Why would you use last years already middling components in a market thats white hot with bargains far exceeding their sticker price? Its too many compromises for too much $. I was expecting at least a hyrbid focusing system and a dual camera setup maybe to count LG and Apple...HTC Iam definitely one of your most staunch supporters,but wtf?
